With all this snow lately it seems I'll never fly outside again. Anyways, I've been spending some serious quality time on the SIM (G3.5 heli orientation training, up to inverted, L-13?) and giving my blade CP some good workouts, end result-- nose in hovering-Yahhh!
Just wondering if anyone else has been practicing in a sim or with micros over the winter.
If so, whats your latest heli acomplishment?

Not a Heli but I bought a Stryker F27c (electric park flyer) two weeks ago. Ive taken it to the local park and flown it several times. It's a blast to fly. Very fast on full throttle but flys real slow also. Ive had lots of time on the G3 as well but can't wait to get back to the field.

That's Great Rob! Those strykers sure do look like a lot of fun.
I'm too chicken to brave the cold, although Wednesday's weather was very tempting.

Hey Donny: The nice thing about the electric park flyers is, if the weather is nice when I get home from work I can shoot over to the park right away. No messing around with fuel and starters etc. Just turn on the transmitter, connect the battery and fly. I am getting almost 15 minutes of flying time on one charge. If it gets cold then it only takes seconds to pack it in and head home.

Hey Guys Jack Marcotte has one of those Stryker 's . Ive had a couple of flights on it and for a plane right out of the box it's pretty good . Flys quite fast and slow as Rob says . Wednesday was so tempting Jack and I went out early afternoon , it was almost better than a summer day . Speaking of G3 Jack suggested those that have it get together one night and do the funfly thing they have on line , could be quite amusing anyone interested

What a great idea. Why didn't someone think of this sooner? I'm in for a G3 funfly, but I have G2. Do you think it would work? Might I suggest Sunday evening for the first try at this. Joe

G3 on line is pretty cool, I'm just fooling with it right now. Its pretty simple to get started.
Joe, by what i can tell--with a brief investigation, is it is possible for you to use G2, I'm not sure how though.
How does Sunday night 8:00'sh sound to attempt this? There is a max of 8 players at a time.
This could be really fun. who's in?

I'm in for 8:00. Chris I have G3.5 also and from what I understand it will work. Who has a new/fast computer to host. I believe all we need to know is the IP address of the host computer and everyone can sign on direct to that computer. Then only people that know it can sign on. The other option is to go the server route but it opens it up to the whole Internet community.

Did it work? I tried to get on but my G2 needs to have the IP address. I tried doing a search but nothing came up.
Hope you guys had fun without me. Joe

Yea the G3 funfly was a blast!! We got to do it again! Maybe make Sundays at 8pm a regular funfly time. If we post the IP address on this forum then Joe may be able to give it a try and this would also allow only Flying Tigers to join in as well.
Jack: I run my computer through a router and had no problem connecting to the game. When I start to connect I get a caution screen come up that asks if I'm sure I want to connect . I just click yes and I'm in with no problem.
