Hi Guys
I am looking to join the club but I do not have a plane yet. I tried to buy a Hanger 9 PTS Mustang trainer but I was told this is not a good first plane. I was told by someone else the Burlington club has trained a couple guys using it. I am trying to keep cost down and felt this was the best investment.
Have you trained anyone using this plane?
Were they successful?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Scot I have trained someone on this plane and the only reason he was successful was he had already flew some electric . His landings were hell , takeoffs interesting ! This is NOT a first plane . The person I trained will attest to this . This plane would be a good first war-bird as they handle a bit different than a sport plane . Your trainer plane will probably last you two seasons anyway and if you advanced quicker all you would need to purchase would be the plane itself as everything inside is transferable . I would recommend the Hanger 9 Arrow as it is a semi-symmetrical airfoil and almost no dihedral , which means it wont get tossed around in the wind as much as others . Is great for learning and when you get your wings you can fly the snot out of this baby . Terry Chief Flight Instructor
